Keeping up to dateMany of us know the importance of keeping our computer's operating system up to date. The constant stream of bug fixes and security patches are a weekly ritual in any office or home. However, when was the last time you updated your drivers? Quite a few of us install the drivers that came with our devices and computer and then never update them for the life of the product. If you visit the manufacturer's website for each of your devices, you may find that your driver software is more than a year out of date in some cases. Did you know updating the driver for your video card can instantly increase your framerate in games? Or that updating the driver for your all-in-one printer can often add new features? Updating the motherboard drivers can increase system stability in many cases. It is a good practice to periodically check in with the manufacturer of your product to see if they have released bug fixes and security patches of their own, the Windows Update feature will only update the operating system itself and never anything from a third party.
